Care Instruction

POOL (before/after) CARE INSTRUCTIONS & DISCLAIMERS.

Your pool tile, surfaces and or hardscapes will be professionally cleaned by our highly trained craftsmen utilizing low air pressure and an onsite selected blast media that will not damage the surfaces to be cleaned. We want to insure that you have the best experience with our company and anticipate that you will by following these instructions.

PAYMENT

Once the work is complete you will receive an emailed and or texted invoice that needs to be paid to the crew before they leave. Invoices that are not paid within 15 days will incur a 10% late fee. There are no exceptions.

GLASS BEADS OR MINERAL BLAST

With our highly trained craftsmen 90% of the time glass beads will remove your calcium with no damage to the pool tile glaze/other surfaces and or grout. We will perform a small test spot and if we notice that your calcium is too thick and or that glass beads are going to damage your pool tile we can offer to switch our blast media over to a mineral blast. This will insure no damage to your pool tile glaze/other surfaces for $1.00 more per linear foot. Surfaces that absolutely need mineral blast include glass tile, porcelain tile, hand painted tile, granite, marble and black tile. The following surfaces that we can also first test with glass beads first are, but not limited to, medium blue to dark blue pool tile and or heavily calcified tile. Calcium will only be removed from the waterline areas and above stoping at the coping unless otherwise specified by you and included on your invoice for a fee.

ARRIVAL TIME

We will call you the evening before your scheduled cleaning and provide a 2-4 hour window of our approximate arrival time. Please understand that this is only an approximate time and sometimes we may arrive a little earlier or later than our scheduled time. Most times we will try to provide a phone call or text either way. Please be sure to provide us with all available numbers so that we may reach you. You need not to be home for us to preform our service unless you absolutely have or prefer to be.

BEFORE WE ARRIVE

If you have a stone spillway, stone under a waterfall or any water accents that get any stone wet, please turn it off at least 24 hours before our arrival to ensure it is dry for best results.

If your pool service professional is scheduled to service your pool or water feature the day we arrive or the next day after our service you will want to let them know to reconsider returning another day that week. If your residence is having other work done outside around your home the same day as our service please let us know and we can determine if we should reschedule. We need at least 3 feet width clearance for our equipment to pass through access points to the job site. Please move all trashcans or any other items from path of your side yard to your job site. If your residence has difficult access issues please let us know in advance.

Please make sure your gates are unlocked. If you must keep your property locked please give us instructions on how to make entry into your backyard. If you live in a gated community or have a gate code please inform us of entry instructions and or codes. PLEASE secure all pets, as we will not be responsible if your pet(s) escape while we enter and exit from your gate. Make sure your pool deck is dry before our arrival. If your sprinklers overspray and come into contact with your pool and deck area please shut system off the day before we arrive so that the water from sprinklers will not get the deck wet before our arrival and or affect the sealer after we apply to your surfaces. 24 hours after cleaning sprinklers may be turned back on. Our process at times may be dusty especially when we use mineral blast. Please close all windows of your residence front to back to avoid dust intrusion. Also cover any items around the pool area and or remove cushions and bring inside to avoid dust. We will blow everything down and always try to ensure a perfect cleanup.

RESIDUAL MATERIAL

You may notice some of our material in small amounts that has settled to the bottom of your pool or spa. It is ok for your pool sweep or pool service to vacuum up small amounts that may be left over. This will not affect your pump or filter. If your water is cloudy it will clear up usually within one day. Also you may notice some material on your deck or surrounding plants or grass. Please understand that we always try to do the best clean up possible but sometimes there is some residual material left over. This will blow/wash away usually within a week. Residual material in plant and grass areas will dissipate into the soil once the sprinklers turn on. Our cleaning materials are chemical free and will not harm grass, plants or animals. Also some of our sealer may accumulate on surface of your pool water in small amounts. We will try to skim most off of it out and the remnants will subside within a couple days or as soon as you restart your pool equipment. It is safe and non-toxic.

WHEN TO ADD WATER

Your pool and or spa water will be lowered by us usually six inches to a foot below the tile line so that we may access the calcium buildup. Please refill 24 hours after our service to allow sealer to set up.

EXCEPTION

If your pool is being resurfaced or acid washed after us please disregard this instruction.

TILE/STONE SEALANT

To help with the appearance and maintenance of your surface areas we just restored, we offer to apply an industry exclusive tile/stone sealant for an additional fee. Stone sealer may enhance the color or darken the stone. For stone sealer we should perform a test spot to make sure it’s to your satisfaction. Sealer that is applied to any type of stone coping and other surfaces should not be walked on or get wet for at least 24 hours after application.

POOLS WITH AUTOFILL

If your pool has an auto fill we usually have left it on unless you or your pool service has instructed us to shut it off. If your autofill is off when we arrive we will leave it off. The auto fill water will usually take 24 hours before it reaches the tile line where the sealer was applied thus not affecting sealer setup.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

If rain is expected the day of your cleaning we may need to reschedule your cleaning. Even though it may be clear in the am if it rains later it may cause a problem with our sealer. Please understand that we may not always be able to reschedule the next day.

EQUIPMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Because we lowered your water we have made sure to turn off and disable your pool equipment. Depending on your pool equipment type most commonly we place your system into “Service” mode. Sometimes we may turn off your breakers on the pool equipment panel as well. Last if you have a time clock system we have removed the “On” togs and placed them on top of or inside the timer box. Please be sure you or your pool service professional restore your equipment back to original settings after you have refilled your pool and water is flowing into the skimmer after your 24 hour set up time of our sealer.

DISCLAIMER

Although we always try to make sure the pool tile grout is cleaned we cannot guarantee that the grout will turn out perfect. The grout is porous and may be stained further into the grout rather than just the surface. Some calcium does not always remove from the grout. Artificial surfaces including but not limited to artificial rocks, may lighten and some paint or stain may be removed during our cleaning. If artificial surfaces that we cleaned are not to your satisfaction after the cleaning we can recommend a professional company that can touch up the surfaces for a fee.

If you have or have ever had a pool chlorine floater that floats freely around your pool your steps into the pool and or spa may be compromised and possibly chip, crack or delaminate before or after our service. This is a predisposed condition and we will not be held responsible. We utilize low air pressure during our cleaning so if tiles fall off during or after our cleaning this is also a predisposed condition and we will not be held responsible. If grout is deteriorating some grout may be removed as well. We can recommend a professional repair company that can repair loose tiles or deteriorating grout for a fee.

IMPORTANT: OUR SEALANT DOES NOT PREVENT CALCIUM FROM RETURNING.

From the sealer manufacturer label. The sealant is a safe, non-toxic, invisible, NANO FORMULATION, multi-surface protectant that is specifically formulated to “Block” calcium and hard scale from building up and damaging your pool tiles and water features, allowing future calcium to be easily removed off any treated surface.

When you choose for us to apply the sealant not only does it enhance the appearance of the tile/stone, it makes it easier for you and/or your pool service to remove future dirt, body oils and/or calcium buildup. To remove the buildup it must be caught in its early stages and use our Precision Tile Cleaner Solution or a tile cleaner from your local pool supply store along with a green Scotch Brite scrub pad. Using the cleaner and a green scrub pad will not remove our sealer.
